LUST FOR YOUTH

Lust For Youth is a Danish-Swedish electronic duo formed by Hannes Norrvide and later joined by Malthe Fischer, based in Copenhagen. Initially a solo project by Norrvide in the early 2010s, Lust For Youth began with raw, lo-fi production, which Pitchfork described as “scrappy cold wave production that is both intelligent and infectious.” Early releases like Solar Flare, Growing Seeds, and the 2013 single Chasing The Light showcased this cold, minimalist aesthetic, where melodic elements emerged amidst layers of tape hiss and noise.

In the early fall of 2013, the project expanded as Fischer joined, steering Lust For Youth toward a more melodic, synth-driven sound. This shift defined their 2014 album, International, along with tracks like ”Armida”, ”Sister (Club Mix)”, “Running,” and “New Boys”, which introduced a brighter, more polished soundscape.
